Nail Biter

I modeled this weapon for Skystrider, an indie 3D action platformer that I've had the pleasure of being Lead Artist on. It was fun to try something totally hand-painted and I was super pleased with the results! Weapons can look so different and this one could've gone in any number of directions but I think this is definitely where it was meant to land conceptually. It was super fun to treat the model from a very silhouette first standpoint and make sure the shards really followed the shapes I wanted before giving them volume.
